The guy on the left could speak good English he learnt it whilst spending 12 years in Portland prison in England! Apparently for drugs and murder!! Our friend took a picture of us under the statue of Simon Bolivar, he kept telling us to step back a bit, step back a bit, we though it was going to be another rendition of Lampoons Vacation and he was going to scarper with the camera!! (He was very nice and didn't though!) The university orchestra giving a free performance in the park, they were fantastic The dancers that performed to the music A man selling god knows what! This was a man selling arepes, a local maize cake, but his oven was a little house which we liked very much! Another local dish Lechona - A pig carcass stuffed with its own meat, rice and peas then baked in the oven A few minutes before there was a wall there! Eating street food with the local nodding dog vender and the newspaper guy It really was a huge place with houses as far as the eye could see Click here to read the story
