We met some very interesting people in the park, they were very friendly and it really was a spectator sport to watch the gringos talking to the locals! The guy on the left could speak good English he learnt it whilst spending 12 years in Portland prison in England! Apparently for drugs and murder!!

Our friend took a picture of us under the statue of Simon Bolivar, he kept telling us to step back a bit, step back a bit, we though it was going to be another rendition of Lampoons Vacation and he was going to scarper with the camera!! (He was very nice and didn't though!)
