Stuart liked this, no messing restaurant in the bus station in Medellin, its definitely not for vegetarians!
The church in the main square, taken from the balcony in our room (£6.50 again for a night)
More views from our balcony
Around the town
Hey we haven't had any cat pics for ages so we slipped this one of a super cute cat in a tienda!
Coffee beans laid out on the street to dry
Crazy horses, they don't walk like normal horses, they dance down the street like show horses!
Hey Si you'd better keep an eye on the bamboo in your garden or your neighbours really will have something to complain about!
The local Troucheria (trout farm), they take the water from the rivers to run the farm
Back in the tourist information centre, we found where they keep the towns records!
Testing sweets in the Casa de Dulces
The woman who served us was really nice and gave us a tour round the building, this a lady making some Great fruity chocolate stuff! Next to her is a tray of fudge. Mmmm it was very yummy!
A man stirring the fudge
The fudge and the milk
We aren't quite sure what the pigs out the back had to do with the whole process but they were very sweet!
Casa de Dulces from outside
We then made a new friend, who became our little guide for a short walk up the mountain
Stu cooling his smelly feet in the waterfall
Our little guide, John Henry
The tuk tuks lined up in the town for business
Inside the church
Lots more crazy dancing horses
This one was very unruly and kept trying to go in all the shops, he eventually kicked over a load of chairs, got his foot caught in one and fell over, landing on top of the poor rider. Luckily every one was ok.
The pretty chairs that were savaged by the horse!
Sitting in the back of the jeep, waiting to do a walk to the Cueva del Esplendor
Some very pretty flowers that you eat! They were quite nice and tasted of lemon
Houses at the top of the mountain on the walk to the Cueva del Esplendor
Balancing across tree bridges
and doing the first bit of real climbing I have ever done, it was a bit scary, if you were to fall you would land on the rocks in the waterfall! How brave am I!!??
The climb down
Hurrah, down in one piece
and we finally reach the Cueva del Esplendor, it was very pretty but very difficult to take pictures as the flash caught every drop of moisture in the air
Out the front of the cave
Climbing back up and out of there
The view's along the way
Then we bumped into a family herding their pigs, there was lots of squealing and snorting involved
especially from the little pig in the bag!
Coffee growing under Plantain trees
Back down to the town again
We made it just in time before it tipped it down with rain, so we sat in a cafe and had a well earned beer
We have never seen so many people drink so much coffee, no one appears to drink anything else
More coffee drinkers
