Photo Gallery ![]() The Boat Being Hauled Out Click here to read the story The first time the boat has moved since we have been here! This is Stu steering the boat as we motor over to Abels, the haul out place. Still on the way to Abels!
Waiting, moored up out the front of Abels, our boat is to go in the middle spot.
This is where we are moored, the ladies spend all day doing the washing on the concrete block in the river, and there is a school just behind so you can here the kids shouting and laughing all morning. Was a nice change from being at Tijax. We made a tiny Gecko friend on the boat whilst we were waiting, he was about the size of my little finger! Very sweet, probably squashed now though!! This is me on my first trip in the dingy on my own! All very scary stuff!
This is the previous boat coming out, and this is our boat going in.
Being pulled up the tracks, and here we are out. We look tiny compared to the million dollar boat hauled up next to us!
This is Stu, cracking on with the work as soon as the boat was out and sprayed down. Scrapping out all the blisters. Even I did some work!
This is Stu filling up the holes with epoxy. Here is one of the crazy dinosaur lizards that you see all over the place. It is very funny to see them run as they flay there legs about all over the place! This is The hotel Rancho Escondido, owned by Jeff from the Crowbar our favorite drinking hole. Stuart after a hard days work, not the happiest looking of bunnies! It was probably taken after a number of rums too! Me with my big jug of water.
Another little bungalow and some views around the place.
Back in the boat yard, where the guys called us over to take a look at a large terrapin, we are not sure whether they just found him wandering about of whether they went out to catch him. We are a bit concerned that they had him for desayuno, as we saw him being taken into a shed, then heard a loud bang. Later on we saw an empty terrapin shell at the bottom of the river. We think poor tezza mush have come to a sticky end!!
The bees in the anchor locker situation, click here for full story.
Scott lighting the smoker. Ready to smoke them out.
Smoking them out, well it doesn't get them out it apparently makes them a bit stoned and dozy. Scrapping the bees into a bag.
Bag full of bees!!
A bit more of a poke around.
The left over bees new home, in the boat yard!
Right stop messing about and back to the work on the boat. Well we got the guys to do the final bit of painting on the antifouling. All finished, and ready to go back in.
and there is me going out to tow the boat back to Tijax, but that is another story!!!
