Adventures in the dingy!

More piccies of the Rio Dulce as we went on exploring adventures. The photos don't do the river justice you really have to be here to see the full picture. We'll will bore you with them anyway!

Stuart driving the dingy

Me as passenger in the little dingy!

A wrecked sailboat between the reeds.

An Egret waiting to catch a fish. They are pretty friendly and you often see them wandering into the bars and such.

We then took the dingy to Castle San Felipe to do the touristy thing. Q20 (£1.30) entrance fee each, too expensive! (We get our weeks veg shop for that!) So I don't think we will be going back too soon.

Stu looking a little odd!

We then went on a mission to see some of the other marinas. This is Hotel Catamaran (marina / hotel). We went there to buy an anchor off of one of the guys with a boat there. Whilst we were there, the rain decided to show its face for the first time in 45 days. It rained a lot, so we took refuge in the bar.

Beers with the guy we brought the anchor off of.

Rain, rain, rain

Us making a runner for it once the rain eased a little. This is Stuart bailing the boat out, which was nearly full to the top with water. Good job we didn't leave the anchor in it, or the dingy would have been at the bottom of the lake!

This is where we update the website and email you all from. As you can see it not from the boat. Things really are very "Manana" here, so much so the phrase should be changed from tomorrow to next year! we have now been waiting for a month for them to put the internet connection on the boat, will it ever happen?? Who knows, we will keep you posted!

Naughty little moggy is back to sit on your lap whilst you are emailing

Some people we got talking to who were staying in Tijax, we all shared a fair few beers and a few stories.

One of Marie on a sunnier day

Then, even the biggest boat in our marina got over shadowed when an enormous motor yacht came in!

We all look tiny now!

Even their tender is nearly as big as our boat!
